# FinalBuilder 8 is slow

Hi,

we updated FinalBuilder 7 to FB800\_1351.exe. We experienced an significant performance drop. FinalBuilder 8 takes about 5 times longer. That's why&nbsp;we reverted&nbsp;the update and continue to use FinalBuilder 7.

Is this a behavior you experience too?

No, in fact this the opposite of what we are seeing here and we have not had any other reports about FB8 being slower. Please contact support @finalbuilder.com with your project file so we can see what it is that is slow. Ideally if you can send the fb7 & fb8 projects with the log files that will make it possible for us to compare the logs.

Hi Vincent,   
  
 Sorry for the delay. Yesterday I tried to activate FB8 processing again. And our script - the same as used for FB7 - still works remarkable slower in FB8:   
  
 FB7: 80 minutes   
 FB8: \> 250 minutes   
  
 I have several images and a video which - may be - give a hint, which kind of actions slow down the processing, but I do not know how to transfer them to you.
