# Finalbuilder 6 upgrade

i tried finalbuilder 6 beta and upgraded one of mt project made in finalbuilder 5.5. none of the varibles got upgraded and project failed.

Hi Guru,   
  
 Thanks for reporting this. Was it the variables themselves, or was it something like persistent variable values not upgraded?   
  
 If possible, could you please email us all of the files for the FinalBuilder 5 project ([ProjectName].fbz5, [ProjectName].fbw, [ProjectName].fbd, etc. so we can test this out ourselves?) Send them to support at finalbuilder dot com.

It was very basic project with few variables. None of the varibles got upgraded. I opened the finalbuilder6 project file in XML and variable section was missing completely.   
  
 If you can not reproduce it I will send you the projects.

Hi Guru,   
  
This is definitely an unusual bug, noone else has reported any problems with upgrading variables, and this includes projects we know of with hundreds of variables, including persistent and environment variables. (one of the alpha versions had a bug with persistent variable \_values\_ not upgrading, but the variables themselves loaded - and even this was fixed before Beta 1.)   
  
If you could send the project then I would really appreciate it, thanks.
