# Export IDE Log - Not fine grained enough

G'Day,

What I&nbsp;want to be able to do is extract a portion of the build log with an action list. I&nbsp;realise that to do this now I&nbsp;could extract the relevant actions to their own action list. However this will not work for me as I&nbsp;want to include two seperate blocks of actions from the original list. Doing this with the action logging properties is also tedious.

What I&nbsp;propose is a new set of actions called "Log To Variable - Start", "Log To Variable - Stop". I can then intersperse them within my project as needed with it being my responsibility to worry about logic flow etc.

Is there a simple way to log the output of various actions across an entire project easily?
