# Error Exporting Log : Range check error

We don’t get this error consistantly, just twice since upgrading to 5. Previously we were on version 3.  
  
Error Exporting Log : Range check error  
  
First time was with a script with a stupidly long interation task that made the log enormous. I disabled logging for that task & didn’t hear from it again.  
  
Now I’ve just gotten it again on a different, although very similar script of about the same length but it doesn’t have that interation task. The script runs fine & then at the end exports the log to email it & fails with this error. The OnFailure section kicks in which tries to export the log as well & has the same error.  
  
It’s just a standard Export Log task with the export format set to Text.  
  
The output file path is:  
%NEW\_REL\_DIR%\log\_%VERSION\_MAJOR%_%VERSION\_MINOR%_%VERSION\_RELEASE%\_%VERSION\_BUILD%.txt  
  
Which evaluates to:  
E:\svn\branches\product\4.6\release186\release186\_32\log\_4\_6\_186\_32.txt  
  
Is there a file size limit on log files?
