# Detect changes to file and offer to reload

When switching git branches, I hate to have to close and reload the FB IDE to refresh all my tabs of FB projects.   
  
 I would like the FB IDE to detect changes made to the active project tab’s file and offer to reload or ignore those changes. If the reload is ignored, the pending write(s) icon on the tab should illuminate.   
  
 Then, when switching tabls, the same check should be made.   
  
 This is something I’ve really come to expect from all my document editing programs, from full IDEs to simple text editors.   
  
 The lack of this feature has caused me to make a small tweak in a FB project, but accidentally damage the script in that branch because I forgot to close and refresh the FB IDE.
