Hi FinalBuilder Support Team

Im not sure if its a bug, but something lilke that

I defined with the "XML Document Define" action an XML File.

Afterwards I copied this action three times to another location in my buildprocess. I defined always the same XML Document name. I thought thats possible, then I only execute one of these three action in a buildprocess.

Anyway, since then an error occured and longtime I didnt know where it causes! So I did a lot of tests.

**_Error:_**

**_Using XML Document Object: XmlConfiguration
Evaluating XPath & selecting XML nodes...
The iterator could not be initialised.
Error selecting nodes: Access violation at address 09370E10 in module 'FB50XML.bpl'. Read of address 00000000_**

So I found the error. **Define multiple XML Documents with the same name didn't work!**

Suggestion: The "Define XML Document []" action should check wheter a document is already defined with the same name.

Please let me know, if I did somethin wrong, but I think that something like a bug?

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Christof Bührer

P.s I use FinalBuilder 5, but I have also tested with Version 6

Hi Christof,

This is a bug, thanks for reporting it. You shouldn’t be able to define multiple XML Documents with the same name, in a single project.

We’ll add some checks for it so the name is changed when copying and pasting the action.

Regards,

Angus
