I can't get my FB actions to update the dproj of our D2007 projects. We've been using FB for years, these are the same scripts that worked just fine in FB4 for 1+ years. We're using variables in the script beforeaction event, to set action.majorversion, action.minorversion etc. previously it worked where we set the action values of the project and then after the build was completed FB would update the dproj with the new version number. This is important to us as we need the version updated for the dev team.

I did notice that there is the new PropertySet, but havent converted to use it yet. Our build process is pretty complex with over a dozen scripts, so it's going to take me some time to do the conversion. It's on my TODO list, but the dproj not updating concerns me that there might be more issues.

I do have the "update project settings file with verison info" option checked, so it should update.

Thanks,

Rich Werning

Thanks Vincent! I’ll take a look at it next week, we’re putting the finishing touches on a service pack for our software that we’re releasing early next week.

I have a rule of not rocking the boat at the last minute by doing any updates that aren’t critical. 🙂 You’re almost guarenteed that any last minute update you do will have an unintended side effect jump up and bite you in the backside.
