# Compiling VS.NET apps

I am still in the R&D phase of deciding how FB will work for us in our deployments and have a question I hope someone can answer.  
  
Does anyone have any preference or recomendations on whether to compile [VS.NET](http://VS.NET) apps using ‘Build [VS.Net](http://VS.Net) Solution’ or to build them using ‘Microsoft \<whatever .net="" language=""\> compiler’?  
  
I like that with using the ‘Build [VS.Net](http://VS.Net) solution’ I can control the versioning, but I don’t know that we will be storing the .sln files in SG Vault.  
  
Can anyone comment on this?
