When I try to use the menu option to “Check for updates”, the following error dialog is displayed:

\> Error occurred when checking for updates:
 \> Error creating XMLHTTP object
 \> Interface not supported

Probably related is the newsfeed on the welcome page displays:

\> Error: Could not parse updates into file: XML document must have a top level element

This has been happening for at least the last couple of versions and since I don’t see any other forum posts regarding this issue, I suspect it is a problem with my development system.

 Finalbuilder 6.2.0.1393 on a WinXP SP3 workstation.

This is mostly an inconvenience, but I would like to fix it if possible. Any suggestions?

 Thanks,
 -Scott

Hi Scott

This sounds like an msxml issue. Do you have the latest msxml 4.0 installed on your system?

Vincent,

I downloaded and installed MSXML 4.0 SP2, and that appears to have solved the problem. I’m not sure what happened since I hadn’t experienced this problem until a little while back…

 Thanks for your help,
