# Build error status

There are a few things about the way that run/step over/breakpoints etc work that seem strange compared to Microsoft or Borland IDEs but I can’t quite put my finger on them.  
  
 One, though, is that when a build hits an error, it aborts the build entirely: if you press F5, it restarts the build from scratch. For me, it would seem more natural to simply pause the build if an error is encountered, then resume from the failed step when you press F5. That’s basically how Visual Basic works…  
  
Could that be an option?

yeah, it’s possible I think. I’ll put it on the enhancements request list.
