For a number of reasons, I run my entire development environment inside a VMWare (version 6) virtual machine. Audio seems to work fine on all apps there (audio apps, Firefox viewing YouTube, etc) , but I cannot get the "Beep" command to play in FB5. Any ideas what the problem might be, or how to diangose?

Hi Cass,

The FinalBuilder beep action uses a common windows API function to play the sound, so I’m not exactly sure why it wouldn’t be working under the guest OS. Have you had a look on the VMWare forums to see whether any one else has experienced similar issues? Are their any other instances where sound doesn’t work (i.e. windows event sounds)?

Regards,
Paul.
