# Araxis folder comparison is always found to be different

I have a script that checks to see if two locations are different, and if so RoboCopy Mirror the content. I'm trying to use the Araxis Compare Folders action and I am finding that the comparison result in FinalBuilder 7 is always "Folders are different." even though the output .html file states there are no changes. This is true even if I use the same physical folder location for the comparison instead of two different locations.

Hi,
If you run the same compare using the Araxis front-end do they report that the folders are the same or different? Is it possible that the files timestamps are being changed and that is why it’s being reported as different?

The Araxis UI and the HTML output from the FinalBuilder Araxis Folder Compare state that there are no changes. Only the FinalBuilder Action status reports the content is different. This is true even if I compare a folder on disk to itself as shown below:
Comparing folders:
C:\temp\foo
C:\temp\foo
Starting comparison...
Comparison complete.
Saving report...
Folders are different.

I’ve just checked in a change that should hopefully resolve this issue, I’ll let you know when the test build is available.

This version of the Araxis Compare Folders action works as expected.
Comparing folders:
C:\temp\foo
C:\temp\foo
Starting comparison...
Comparison complete.

Folders are the same.
