Now having my project for while, the agent has around 1800 builds for our main configuration, but they require really a lot of disk space. as i can see, the whole sources are still existing.

is there a way to clean them up, too? found anything in the clean up policies.

The agent is supposed to clean up the folders, we’ll take a look and see if there is some reason they are not cleanining up. If the agent isn’t running any builds then it’s safe for you to manually delete the folders.

Follow on this topic, I’ve found that the Clean-up process seems to do an ok job on the CI Server, but the agents PC’s that include “failed builds” are not cleaned up. My Developer PC Agent has a c:\Continua\_WS\WS\ folder with 353k files and 80k folders worth 28GB of SSD disk space. Fortunately I’m only at 608 builds via Continua, so a fair bit behind Christians environment.

yeah thats true. additionally, builds having stages that “could” get promoted manually will also not be cleaned up. for sure, this might be ok, depending on the stages content.

Hi,

We intentionally don't clean up workspaces until a build completes successfully so that it is possible to check that the files have been copied to the right place and figure out why a build has failed.

This is ok with the server workspace as we can schedule a clean-up process. There is however no clean-up schedule for agent workspaces so we will add a new option tot he stage options, so you can choose whether to you want Continua to clean up the agent when a stage fails.

We hope to have this implemented for the next build.

Hi,

The latest build 1.0.0.2352 has new Agent Workspace Cleanup options on the Cleanup pages. Existing configurations will continue to clean up the agent workspaces only for successful builds until you edit this page. New configurations will have all options checked by default.
