Build notifications for continuous feedback
Continuous feedback is an important counterpart of continuous integration for realizing agile development. Without timely notifications about the status of a build, particularly broken builds, bottle necks can occur which negate the benefits of continuous integration.
FinalBuilder Server includes a number of features to help easily implement continuous feedback through email and RSS. It also includes notification customisation features so that you can ensure notifications include all pertinent information.
Really Simple Syndications (RSS)
FinalBuilder Server makes receiving notifications via really simple syndication (RSS), well, really simple. On the build status page click on the RSS symbol in the top right hand of the page to subscribe to feeds on all projects. Subscribe to individual projects by clicking the RSS icon in each project’s overview.
Email notifications
The screenshot below shows that with a few mouse clicks, you can have complete control over who receives notifications and what notification they receive.

Customised global templates for notifications
The templates provided with FinalBuilder Server for providing feedback on each build outcome are also fully customisable. Send emails in text or HTML, and include variables to providing specific details about the project name, project status and who or what started the build.
